Service Technician / Service Trainee

Perdue Marine & Storage is looking for a motivated individual to join our team!

We are seeking a Service Technician / Service Trainee who is ready to take on a variety of tasks related to boat maintenance, repairs, and customer service. If you’re mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and have a strong willingness to learn, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We are willing to train the right candidate! Pay will be negotiated based on experience.

Job Summary

This position involves performing various duties including:

• Mechanical work

• Hauling, launching, loading, and unloading boats

• Building and installing lifts and docks

• Detailing customer boats

Responsibilities

✔️ Complete assigned work efficiently and to the customer’s satisfaction.
✔️ Provide suggestions for improving work processes.
✔️ Ensure all paperwork for work assignments is complete and accurate.
✔️ Handle multiple work orders and prioritize as needed.
✔️ Maintain your own hand tools required for the job (Service Technician).
✔️ Be responsible for personal performance while also working effectively as part of a team.
✔️ Complete additional service training from manufacturers as needed — wage increases available with skill advancement.
✔️ Keep work areas and the shop clean, including floors, benches, tools, and other areas.

Qualifications

✅ Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic repair techniques.
✅ Strong attention to detail.
✅ Willingness to learn and grow in the role.
✅ Commitment to customer satisfaction.
✅ Valid driver’s license.
✅ High School Diploma or equivalent.
✅ Ability to use basic computer functions.
✅ Flexible availability — ability to work overtime during spring and fall.
✅ Good physical mobility — able to lift and move heavy equipment.
